Her Story

Personal Profile

Dr Abimbola studied at the prestigious St George's University of London where she graduated with a degree in Medicine (MBBS), and during this time also completed a BSC in Human Genetics from Kings College University in London some years prior as an intercalated degree.

On completion of foundation training as a Doctor, Dr Abimbola was one of small selected group of doctors who were chosen to take part in a highly competetive novel programme known as Broad based Training, where they underwent additional extended training at registrar level in core medical specilties whihc included Core Medical Training, General Practice, Paediatrics and Psychiatry.

There she honed her clinical and leadship abilities as she decided on her pathway in medicine.

She soon realised her passion as a generalist and went onto pursue further training in general practice where she expanded her skills with surgical training.
As she worked as a general practitioner, her love for dermatology blossomed and she went onto to undertake further training in clinical dermatology and completed a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Medicine at Queen Mary's University of London; therby obtaining her third degree.

Shortly after welconing her first child she began her own private aesthetic and medical  clinic with a specialty in dermatology, and then also began working in NHS Dermatology, alongside her role as a GP.

Over the years since, she has undertaken further postgraduate dipolmas and provides teaching and mentorship to other colleagues and trainees in dermatology and aesthetics.
